so. it's been a very long time since I've been on here. I went from photography school to tattooing to nothing. out of everything I've ever done, I've never tried painting. this is my first foray into oil painting. I've had a set for a good 7 years and a year ago, I decided to try it. this took me that long. it's chalk full of meaning and blah blah for me. I was so angry the entire time it sat there for me to look at unfinished. and I was so happy and relieved when it was done.

I was never taught anything about how to paint (I guarantee I'm doing it all wrong), so any comments/criticisms/insight would be welcomed. there is a lot more detail in the shading of the orchids, but cruddy photo. I might take a better one later.
